PRAYER IN PLANNING
Prayer is the regular exercise of pastoral ministry and the practice of the Universal Priesthood of the Saints, as the Scriptures say: "We will devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word." Prayer should not be outsourced but must be part of the essence of each person’s ministry. We seek support through prayers and intercessions, but as reinforcement, not as a substitute for the duties of each individual. We need to be practical in our prayers, specific to our activities, and focused on overcoming the challenges and obstacles that oppose God and His work.
We must follow Moses' example in prayer. When he prayed, God admonished him, saying: "Why do you cry out to me, Moses? Tell the Israelites to move forward." Prayer should be followed by practical actions that make the requests possible. The motivation to pray stems from facing difficulties and the challenges of execution.
PRAYER AND INTERCESSION PLANNING
Prayer is an essential part of the mission and is inherently tied to the activities of those involved. Evangelism and prayer cannot be separated, as preaching and teaching are closely related to prayer. The Apostle Peter said, "We will devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word." The schedule for prayer is as follows:
- Prayer Requests on Social Media: Daily posts on social media will feature general and specific prayer requests.
- General Prayers: These cover fixed requests related to the overall vision of the project.
- Specific Prayers: These are daily requests based on the agenda and challenges faced.
- Preachers, Missionaries, and Speakers: Must pray for one hour before any ministry.
- Members of the Missionary Council of America: Ten minutes of daily prayer.
- Local Administrative Teams: One hour of daily prayer while the mission is in their location.
- Local Missionary Teams: One hour of daily prayer while the mission is in their location.
- Missionary Support Teams: Ten minutes of daily prayer.
- During the Expedition Events: In churches, at lecture venues, and during sermons, specific moments will be dedicated to prayer.
- Intercessory Support: Prayer reinforcements will be sought from ministries focused on intercession. The project will ask for prayers from those in prayer ministries, not as a replacement but as a complement to our own prayers.
- Prayer Clock: An online prayer room may be created, offering a 24-hour prayer schedule with successive shifts. A virtual "prayer window" will be set up for individuals to enter the online intercession room. While praying, they can light a virtual menorah lamp and extinguish it when leaving the room.
