ADAPTING THE LOCAL STATUTE TO UMCEB
TEN TIMES MORE: TALENTS, VIRTUES, AND RESULTS.
This theme is based on the statutory reform made by UMCEB during the organization’s expansion, which included the integration of Christians from the Public Security System into the military structure. This is a subproject of Expedition America for Christ and has a history, let’s review: right after the UMCEB Statute was reformed, the associations from Ceará (ASSEMPS-CE) and Brasília (ACEMPS) worked to adapt their norms to those of the Federation. Both maintained close relationships with each other, spending hours and hours in discussions and exchanging experiences. The result was the creation of two excellent statutory norms.
In this theme, we offer a visionary, innovative, universal Statute model, with administrative plans, strategic visions, and a balance of opportunities and conditions—meaning equal bonuses and burdens. We aim to facilitate the work of state associations in adapting their states to the UMCEB Statute. We offer informational support with references based on successes we’ve achieved.
Reasons and Objectives – Summary:
We can be more comprehensive and specific regarding the ends and objectives:
Obey the federation to which we are affiliated.
Inclusion of members of the Armed Forces and Public Security System on equal terms, with equal bonuses and burdens.
Multiply by ten the representation of affiliated institutions.
The functions should cover: belonging, opportunity, breadth of representation, a deliberative council, and rotation.
The Fiscal Council is separate from the slate but nominated by the Assembly to ensure more transparency.
Unity of administration, functions, and leadership: coordinated equally, scaled, balanced, and decentralized in initiative, projects, and actions.
Statutes based on the benchmarks of AMME (25 years), UMCEB (40 years), and AMCF (100 years).
Deliberative Council with guiding power for the institution, nominated by the Assembly and not elected, led by the President.
Motivation through opportunity for all, along with the process of promotion to positions, while requiring certain qualifications and giving freedom of acceptance.
Values the vice-president with priority for candidacy to succession with freedom of acceptance and imposed qualifications.
Universal vision, administration, actions, and territorial scope through local, national, and international links.
Purposes with specific themes aiming to:
a) Provide specific services to Corporations or institutions.
b) Establish fraternal relationships and cooperation with churches.
c) Establish fraternal relationships and cooperation with institutional chaplaincies and chaplains.
d) Aggregate values and talents through partnerships, transparency, and breadth or scope.
This Statute model avoids:
a) Personal power projects at the expense of the Kingdom vision, strengthening the institutional aspect.
b) Monarchical, imperialist, and hereditary captaincy power projects as seen in some Christian institutions.
c) Obstacles due to short-sighted and simplistic vision.
d) Excessive unilateral power, promoting shared decision-making.
e) Demotivation due to inequality of opportunity and lack of promotion.
f) Inexperienced leaders derailing the objectives and purposes of the organization.
